Standing up for kidney health
On the 13th of March, Fresenius Medical Care Singapore celebrated World Kidney Day by organising an awareness event that aimed to highlight the prevalence, risks and preventive measures of Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) to the public. To demonstrate their dedication the team provided free blood pressure measurements whilst sharing the message of “Start the day with a glass of water” – the theme behind this year’s World Kidney Day initiative.
Kidney disease is impacting an increasing number of Singaporeans each year and is currently a growing world health issue. There are however several easy ways to reduce the risk of kidney disease. On World Kidney Day we call on everyone to check if they are at risk of kidney disease and encourage preventative behaviours.
